Senior Software Project Manager and Release Coordinator

RiskSense has a unique DNA, as the company was founded by real cyber security practitioners and not your typical entrepreneurs. We’re a spin-off of the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology and originally conducted research-as-a-service projects. As part of a think tank that advised the U.S. Department of Defense and U.S. Intelligence Community, we developed Computational Analysis of Cyber Terrorism Against the U.S. (CACTUS), Support Vectors Intrusion Detection, Behavior Risk Analysis of Vicious Executables (BRAVE), and the Strike Team Program.

RiskSense is currently looking to hire a Senior Software Project Manager and Release Coordinator;

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Define project scope, objectives and plan
  • Organize and manage fluid development teams
  • Coordinate design process to meet's organization and project goals
  • Communicate project status and updates to upper management
  • Define and derive team metrics
  • Perform project risk assessments
  • Monitor and validate quality assurance
  • Assist in recruitment and managing off-site teams
  • Perform release coordination
  • Understand and communicate complex engineering issues

Minimum Requirements

  • At least 7 years’ experience
  • Possess Engineering Degree
  • Release and Project Management Experience
  • Agile Sprint Management
  • Agile Iterations Management
  • Highly Experienced with Jira

Desired Skills

  • Excellent written, verbal skills. Especially well versed in writing technical and project documents
  • Adaptability to change
  • Proficient in MS Project/Word/PowerPoint
  • PMP/Agile certifications
